About
ASD Times Mission and Vision
Who are we?
Founded in 2016, The ASD Times is the student-run online news site of the American School of Doha (ASD). ASD is an international K-12 school founded by the United States Ambassador to Qatar in 1988.
Our Mission Statement
We aspire to provide quality news and information to the ASD community, and promote the voice and journalistic talent of the student body. In our reporting, we pledge to follow the ASD values of respect, responsibility, honesty and compassion.
The material published in this newspaper is solely the work of the ASD Times and does not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of the American School of Doha staff or faculty.
Mosaic
Mosaic is the literary & creative arts magazine segment of the ASD Times, which publishes select student submissions of prose, poetry, and visual art pieces. The goal of Mosaic is to promote creativity in the ASD community by allowing them to express themselves and share their work with others, as well as providing them an authentic publication opportunity. We respect the privacy of the creators of the works we publish by offering them (optional) anonymity as well as protecting their work from theft and/or plagiarism via Creative Commons Licensing.
